A little bit about me

Hi and a very warm welcome to my blog 'Isla of Axholme'. I have been an avid blog reader for several years and have plucked up the courage to write my own.  I live in part of North Lincolnshire historically known as the Isle of Axholme (hence the blog name).  I live here with my husband Mr D and my large and daft rescue dog Fizz whom we rehomed six years ago from Dogs Trust. This year (2014) I finished my Art History degree with the Open University and I hope that by blogging I can maintain all those writing skills I picked up!  I will be blogging about a whole host of things.  Expect to see Fizz related topics, knitting and other woolly related writings, what I have been up to and a bit of local history.  If you are a fellow knitter or crocheter you can find me on Ravelry as Isla111 or I'm also on twitter Twitter as isla111

Please note all opinions expressed are my own.

    1. Hi Doris welcome to my blog! Yes will be good to compare at the end of the month. Have you read any of the other Man Booker Prize books for 2014? This is my first and also the first time I have read any of Karen Joy Fowler's books.
